The Abingdon Police Department is an effective, progressive organization comprised of men and women who are dedicated to the professional standards of service, leadership, and accountability. The agency consists of individuals who are committed to improving the quality of life in Abingdon through cooperation, courage, and confidence. Our employees are held accountable to the highest standards of personal and professional integrity, enabling them to prevent crime, enforce laws, and serve as role models. In addition, our employees take great pride in being active members of their community. You will find us in varied roles. From youth sports coach to P.T.A. member, college student to parent; we strive to mesh with the fabric of our community. I take great pride and pleasure in working with such outstanding people, who truly desire to make a difference in our town.
